Domaine Faiveley Grand Tasting Tomorrow Night!

A Grand Burgundy Tasting at W Wine Boutique Miami Beach

Domaine Faiveley, the 184-year-old wine business whose vineyard holdings are among the largest in Burgundy, has been speeding along its own version of a high-speed track since Erwan took over the controls from his father, François, in December 2004. He was just 25, the same age François had been when he took over from his father, Guy, in 1976.

While change has been pronounced at the winery, Erwan and Hervet have also transformed things in the vineyards-most dramatically by adding to them. Faiveley’s traditional stronghold is the red wine-dominant Côte de Nuits, where it has holdings in six grands crus and a dozen premiers crus. Its sole but significant outpost on the Côte de Beaune had long been on the hill of Corton: the white grand cru Corton-Charlemagne and a red grand cru monopole, Clos des Cortons Faiveley.
